Brownsville Police Unmanned Aircraft System
The Brownsville Police Department (BPD), under the direction of Chief Sauceda, initiated the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in 2019. All drone pilots are FAA-Licensed remote pilots. The BPD UAS program uses unmanned aircraft to accomplish Brownsville Police Department missions and goals for the protection of life, property, the documentation of crime and accident scenes, and serving the community. The program consists of 8 pilots and 5 DJI Mavic 2 Drones.
