On 01/18/2017 Agents with the Special Investigations Unit of Brownsville PD proceeded to the 700 block of North Expressway (Local motel) in reference to a narcotic investigation. During the course of the investigation agents made contact with a male subject identified as Ruben Trevino. Trevino was seen pacing back and forth in front of one of the rooms. Trevino was approached and asked for consent to search. Trevino granted officers consent to search and during the search, 10.2 grams of Alprazolam (54 Tablets) along with 13.4 grams of marijuana were located inside the room. Trevino was placed under arrest and transported to Brownsville City Jail, where he was booked in for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam) and Possession of Marijuana.
