ARRESTED: Murder

Armando Gerardo Tovar (43)

On May 26, 2017, CID Detectives arrested Armando Gerardo Tovar (43) under the strength of a warrant for the criminal offense of Murder. The arrest stems from a death investigation where victim, Gilda Cantellano (69), was found deceased on the 400 block of Jose Marti Blvd. on May 14, 2017. Tovar was transported to the Cameron County Carrizales-Rucker Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond.
