Wanted Person: Theft of Motor Vehicle

Marco Antonio Salas was taken into custody today at the 800 Block of US Highway 77.

Brownsville Police Detectives are looking for the whereabouts of Marco Antonio Salas (43). Salas is wanted for theft of a Motor Vehicle. Salas will visit car lots and ask to see a specific vehicle. Salas does not test drive the cars, he just turns them on and inspects them. When the salesperson is not looking Salas switches keys and hands them to the salesperson. Salas already has keys for specific cars, and he locates vehicles with identical keys.
